5th Putney Sea Scouts - an adult leader teaches rope skills

Leaders The 5th Putney Sea Scouts leaders will do all they can to ensure that your child will get the best from Scouting, however, did you know that the leaders and helpers in your group do the work voluntarily!! Although they try, the leaders cannot do everything on their own. Certain roles and jobs cannot be taken up by uniformed leaders because rules prevent them from doing so, or because they just do not have the time to do them.

Any help that you can offer or give to 5th Putney Sea Scouts would be much appreciated. It doesn't have to be an every week commitment, it could be taking a role on the parents executive, or helping out in fund-raising events, or you may have an interesting hobby or past-time for which there is a badge and your expertise would be greatly appreciated.

There are currently spaces available on the Group Executive Committee which meets about 4 times a year. The committee is responsible for the administrative side of Scouting such as finances and record keeping. We also hold several fund-raising events throughout the year and help is always needed to help organise and run such events.

Sometimes parents are needed to assist in outings and camps or with Group and District events. Please have a chat with one of our leaders to see if you can help to make our Group run smoothly and successfully.
