Please join us on Saturday 4 April for an unmissable celebration at the heart of The Oxford Cambridge Boat Race 2026!
Everyone is welcome at our Scout Hut by the river, just beyond the start of the race at Putney Embankment. You’ll find a barbecue with burgers, hot dogs and veggie choices, a fully stocked bar, hot drinks, home-made cakes and live shows by talented young performers from SW15 Music.
You can also buy a raffle ticket, with the chance to win fantastic prizes from local businesses.
Last year’s event raised more than £3,000 towards essential upgrades to the Scout Hut that were completed last year, including a new ceiling, new lighting, ventilation, and heating and air conditioning. This year, we hope to raise enough to refurbish our kit rooms and create new facilities for children and young people to enjoy overnight camps on site.
Please join us from 12pm to 5pm. The Women’s Boat Race starts at 2.21pm and the Men’s Boat Race starts at 3.21pm. When the boats have gone past, you can keep following the action live on our big-screen TV in the Scout Hut.

Bost Race Day 2024 raises more than £3,200
A huge thank you to everyone who turned out at the Scout Hut for Boat Race Day 2024. Between the barbecue, bar, cake stand, raffle and collections, we raised an amazing £3,248!
The funds will go towards essential repairs in the hut, ensuring it is fit to serve current and future generations of Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.
Thank you to everyone who helped to organise the event or volunteered on the day, to the tutors and talented young stars of SW15 Music for an amazing set of live performances, and to all who donated raffle prizes this year:
